Ronald McDonald House Expansion: Representatives from Ronald McDonald House presented plans for the new house they are adding to their existing home. Ronald McDonald House has worked hard to ensure that the new structure fits in well architecturally with the neighborhood. Their plans will decrease the amount of current impervious space to lessen storm water runoff, are energy efficient and well landscaped. The ANA Board believes that Ronald McDonald House has done an excellent job of taking neighborhood concerns into consideration and working with city planning staff to make sure that structure meets the needs of the families who stay there while also being appropriate for the surrounding neighborhood.
Minutes: Review of the June minutes was tabled until the August meeting.
Treasurer’s Report: $5,548.14 as of June 3.
Real Estate Report: There were 120 active homes-for-sale listings in Ardmore as of June 30. There were 17 pending sales and 23 closed. The average price range of the listings is $150,000.
Property Demolition: A four-plex rental property at 2093 Craig Street has been slated for demolition. The property has 5 pages of code violations.
Annual Meeting: Dan Besse will speak at the annual meeting in October.
Newsletter and Signage: The Board reviewed estimates for printing and mailing the October newsletter. Members will get quotes from other providers before deciding on how to proceed. The Board approved the creation of reusable signs to be used to advertise ANA events.
Website: It was determined that One and One will continue to host the ANA website. As the board continues work to update the website, board members have agreed to take on the following tasks: Dianne Blancato, editor; Tiffany White, Historic Preservation; Patti Heath, History; Reggie Delahenty, Listserv/Facebook.
