Property Committee Meeting,

The Property, Preservation and Planning Committee is meeting Wednesday, April 7, 7PM at Miller Park Recreation Center, and repeatedly thereafter at times to be arranged by the committee. The purpose of the committee is to address property maintenance and zoning puzzles that occur with changes, growth and the need for repair of historic properties. We are saying “puzzle” because we hope to look at each project as a puzzle to be solved where the solution involves all stakeholders leaving with their needs met and the historic, residential character of the neighborhood protected. The Southwest area plan that was developed by the city with a stakeholder advisory group last year provides an excellent foundation on which to build, however, there tend to be additional details with each situation.
