Ardmore Neighborhood Association Meeting
September 14, 2010

In attendance: Dianne Blancato, Lonnie Clark, Catherine Eades, Patti Heath, Doris Kendrick, Ben White, Tiffany White, Ann Winters

Call to Order at 7:12 p.m.

Heritage Home Tour: The Ardmore Heritage Home Tour is taking place on Saturday, September 25, from noon to 5:00. The self-guided tour will feature a variety of homes and neighborhood landmarks. All in attendance were urged to take the tour and bring a friend.

Meet the Candidates: The candidates for the NC house representing Ardmore participated in a Meet the Candidate Forum. Democrat Cristina Vazquez and Republican Dale Folwell spoke about what they hoped to accomplish if elected and took questions from the audience.

Ms. Vazquez described herself as a conservationist who would vote for any law that would protect the environment. She also said that she is a teacher and an animal rights activist and would also focus on issues related to those activities. More information about her is available at tinavazquez.com.

Mr. Folwell described himself as a conservative, who tries to get more out of less. He stated that during his time in office, he has gotten 20 pieces of legislation to the governor’s desk. Mr. Folwell spent most of his time discussing legislation that he has supported and that he would support if reelected. Questions for him may be directed to ten.gelcnnull@felad.
