An increasingly popular method of communication between neighborhood residents is by listserv. You do not need to be a member of the ANA to sign up for the listserv. The listserv technology will allow you to exchange emails with 200+ members under a single email address (moc.spuorgoohaynull@evrestsileromdra). You may unsubscribe from the list at any time and for any reason.
If you subscribe, you can send email messages to all other subscribing members, and you will receive copies of any messages sent by other subscribing members. The default setting is for individual emails. If you would like to receive just one email with all messages compiled for the day you will need to change your options to “daily digest”.
The listserv delivers messages directly to your email inbox. However, if you want to access the listserv messages through the web, you can do so by going to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ardmorelistserve/ An archive of all sent messages can be accessed at that address as well as instructions on how to send messages, invite others, setup your account preferences, and how to subscribe or unsubscribe.
Disclaimer:
The list is open and unmoderated. No one approves the messages before they are sent out to members. Participation is open to anyone and all ideas, questions, and comments are welcome, even when they are divergent from the mainstream. Please use discretion when clicking on links sent through the listserv as hacked user email accounts have more than once sent spam through the group. While some discomfort is an inevitable part of a free exchange of thought, personal invective, slurs, and ad hominem attacks have no place being posted to the group. Also, all messages should address neighborhood announcements, questions, issues and concerns. Commercial advertising, junk mail, and political endorsements should not be posted to this list. In the unlikely event a list member fails to observe these standards, they are subject to be removed from the list.
