Ardmore residents: We need your help!
The City Council will vote on Monday on a proposal to rezone the former goat farm at Ebert Street and Silas Creek Parkway to allow the construction of two medical office buildings, associated parking lots, and 32 townhomes.
Ardmore residents have told us they overwhelmingly oppose this commercial development and want to keep this property residential. In addition to encroachment, many people are concerned about the additional traffic that would affect homes near Ebert and Hawthorne, as well as the flooding risk from storm water.
Unfortunately, council members have indicated that they will only vote against this measure if Ardmore residents show up on Monday in opposition.
Therefore, we are asking for your help to come out to the city council meeting and oppose this measure.
The City Council meeting is on Monday, June 4 at 7 PM in City Hall (101 North Main Street).
This proposal is the second item on the agenda, so you will not need to stay long or speak (we will be asking for a show of hands), but your attendance is very important to protect our neighborhood. There is free parking in the evening in the city lot next to City Hall.
And please encourage your neighbors to attend!
